What is clinical psychology?

What can I expect from therapy sessions?

In therapy sessions, you can expect to work collaboratively with a licensed clinical psychologist to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The therapist will help you identify patterns and work to develop skills and coping strategies to manage your symptoms.

What issues can a clinical psychologist help with?

Clinical psychologists can help with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, substance abuse, and more. They can also help with specific conditions like sexual addiction, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and adjustment to medical trauma. 

How long does therapy usually last?

The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some people may benefit from just a few sessions, while others may require longer-term treatment. Typically, therapy sessions are scheduled weekly or biweekly, but the frequency may be adjusted based on progress and individual needs.

How confidential are therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions are confidential, and the information shared in sessions is protected by law. However, there are a few exceptions to confidentiality, such as if there is a risk of harm to self or others.

Do you accept insurance?

No, I am an out-of-network provider. 

What are your fees?

Fees for services will be discussed during your consultation call. 

What is your cancellation policy?

I require at least 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be beneficial for anyone who is struggling with mental health challenges or emotional problems. If you are unsure if therapy is right for you, please contact me to discuss your concerns.

How do I choose the right therapist? 

Choosing the right therapist is important for the success of therapy. I recommend looking for a licensed clinical psychologist who has experience working with individuals with similar issues to yours. You are welcome to schedule a consultation to see if I am a good fit for you.

What happens if I need medication for my mental health condition?

If you need medication for your mental health condition, we can provide a referral to a psychiatrist or work with your primary care physician to coordinate care.

Can therapy be done online?

Yes, I only offer online therapy services at this time. Research indicates therapy done in-person or online are equally effective.
